Happy Valentine’s Day!
When I started writing Punk Charming, I didn’t know what direction it would take – I just knew it had to be written. The spark of an idea for the story came to me back in 1986, when I traveled to Europe for the first time. Much, much later, that idea came back to me, sparking the desire to write a novel. Elements of what I wanted to include began developing in my mind, but I let the story tell itself. It turned out to be a story of true love. Not only the true love found between American Kate and Brit James (the very truest of true love), Punk Charming celebrates love in many forms: love of travel, love of the 80s, love of Duran Duran (of course!), love of family, love (and hate) of an evil genius, and love of life itself. So, on this day of hearts, flowers and candy (oh, how I love candy!), I hope love–in all its forms–finds you.
